The wall pedestal solves a problem a floor pedestal cannot address: passage. In a corridor, a stairwell, a narrow entrance or a busy room, a column on the floor becomes an obstacle — and an obstacle next to a work of art eventually gets knocked. Fixed to the wall, the support disappears from the circulation zone.
It also changes how the piece is seen. A wall-mounted sculpture is read frontally and at three quarters, never from above; it moves closer to the relief and the painting in the way you approach it. It is a decision about presentation as much as a technical solution.

Before ordering a wall pedestal
The nature of the wall determines everything. A load-bearing wall in concrete or stone will take a substantial load; a plasterboard partition needs reinforcement or fixing into the studs, and limits the permissible weight well below the 30 kilograms quoted. Check this first and tell us what you have.

What load will the wall pedestal take?
Up to 30 kilograms, against 50 for the floor pedestals. The difference comes from the fixing: it is the wall, not the pedestal, that sets the limit.
Are fixings supplied?
The choice of fixings depends entirely on the nature of the wall. Tell us what you are mounting to when you order and we will advise on the right solution.
Can it go on a lightweight partition?
It is possible subject to conditions, with reinforcement or fixing into the studs, and at a reduced load. This needs to be examined before ordering.
What is the lead time?
This model is built to order. The lead time is confirmed with the quotation.

The wall pedestal is a steel sculpture support meant to stay put. Fixed once, it stays fixed: metal does not creep under a permanent load, where a wooden bracket eventually develops play. It is the material that makes this kind of lasting installation viable.

A steel support fixed to the wall, designed and made in France. The wall pedestal is one of our standard models and is held in stock.
For a different configuration — specific heights, a particular finish, a format outside the range — we also build customised pedestals, with a manufacturing time of 4 to 6 weeks depending on the complexity of the project.
DELIVERY
Six kilos only: the piece is light to receive, but installing it calls for fixings suited to the wall itself. Do get in touch beforehand if you are unsure about the nature of your wall.
Shipping is handled by DPD, within 3 to 5 working days of dispatch. Express delivery via Chronopost remains available on request, for a private view or an exhibition with a fixed date.
