Duo: two nesting pedestals for a first display
Two steel pedestals, two close heights, one stacking movement to put them away. The Duo is the smallest nesting set in the range, and usually the first one people buy.
The five-centimetre gap between the two is not decoration. It is enough to create a readable step between two pieces standing side by side, without either one flattening the other. It is the minimum you need in order to compose rather than simply line things up.
When the show comes down, the 95 cm pedestal slides inside the 100 cm one. Two supports take up the footprint of one — which changes everything in a studio or a store room where floor space is counted.

Getting the most from the Duo
Put the taller piece on the lower pedestal and vice versa: the tops of the two arrangements then land at roughly the same level and the eye travels between them. Frequently asked questions
Can the two pedestals be used separately?
Yes. Nesting only matters for storage and transport: each pedestal is a self-contained support, stable and finished on all four sides.
How does this differ from the Tertio set?
The Tertio adds a third pedestal at 90 cm and therefore reaches further down the scale. The Duo suits two works; the Tertio lets you build a real three-level rhythm.
Does the matt finish show fingerprints?
Far less than a gloss or satin surface. That is one of the reasons we chose it: in an exhibition, a pedestal that gets handled still looks presentable.
