3 steel smart nesting art display pedestals made to fit together: 55x34x34, 50x30x30 and 45x26x26cm.
Tertio(S): three low pedestals for pieces seen close up
Three nesting pedestals at 45, 50 and 55 cm. A low range of heights, made for objects you look at by leaning in rather than by raising your eyes.
Not every work asks to be lifted to eye level. A piece that has to be read from above — a relief laid flat, a horizontal composition, a maquette — loses everything if you hoist it to a metre. The Tertio(S) heights answer that case, which is common and badly served by standard pedestals.
These three combine directly with the Tertio set, whose sections two of them share. Together the six pedestals cover a span from 45 to 100 cm, enough for almost any situation in a hang.
- Three low heights: 45, 50 and 55 cm
- Nesting design, reduced storage and transport volume
- Total weight of the set: approximately 15 kg
- Safe working load of 50 kg per pedestal
- Black or white, in the same finish as the Tertio set
- Designed and made in France
- Pairs with the Tertio for a complete six-level set

Who this model is for
Collectors and private buyers
For setting a floor-standing sculpture in a living room without letting it disappear, or for lifting a piece in front of a window. Low heights sit within existing furniture instead of competing with it.
Artists and sculptors
In the studio these serve as intermediate working surfaces while a piece is being made. In an exhibition they carry the studies, maquettes and preparatory work shown alongside the finished sculpture.
Museums, galleries and art centres
Low heights are essential to making an exhibition accessible to children and to visitors using wheelchairs. They usefully complete a stock made up only of tall pedestals.
Councils and public institutions
A format suited to foyer cases, reception displays and local society exhibitions. Light, handled by one person, no tools required. Quotations on request.
Where a low pedestal works
A low pedestal rarely works alone in the middle of a room: with nothing to measure it against, it suggests the work was put there for want of anywhere better. Always pair it with a tall pedestal, even at a distance — it is the gap between the two that makes each one legible.
For display cases and shop presentations, these heights let you fill a display across several planes without blocking the back of it. Our guide to sizing a sculpture pedestal sets out how to distribute works across levels.
Frequently asked questions
Are these pedestals compatible with the Tertio set?
Yes, and that is their primary purpose. The 26, 30 and 34 cm sections match those of the Tertio, which guarantees a perfect visual match across all six pedestals.
Do three small pedestals really take 50 kg each?
Yes. The safe working load depends on structure and section, not on height, and both are identical to the tall models.
Can a small pedestal be stacked on a large one?
That is not the intended use: nesting is for storage. To raise a small piece standing on a pedestal, use the Solitaire XS, which is designed for exactly that.
Low metal pedestals, made to stay
Same steel, same finish and same longevity as the tall range: the Tertio(S) is a set of three sculpture pedestals meant to serve for years. A low support gets handled often, and metal takes that regime without marking where a wooden plinth chips.
The three pedestals nest for transport: one volume to move from one exhibition to the next, and a storeroom that stays usable in between. Steel recycles endlessly without losing its qualities.

MANUFACTURING TIMES
Three low pedestals of 45, 50 and 55 cm, made in France from the same steel and with the same finish as the tall range. A standard model, held in stock.
For a different configuration — specific heights, a particular finish, a format outside the range — we also build customised pedestals, with a manufacturing time of 4 to 6 weeks depending on the complexity of the project.
DELIVERY
At 6 kg, the Tertio(S) is one of the lightest sets in the catalogue. The three pedestals nest together, which makes both receiving and storing them straightforward.
Shipping is handled by DPD, within 3 to 5 working days of dispatch. Express delivery via Chronopost remains available on request, for a private view or an exhibition with a fixed date.
