Description

Quatuor + Quatuor(S): eight pedestals to equip a whole room

Four tall pedestals from 85 to 100 cm and four low ones from 40 to 55 cm. Eight levels stepped in five-centimetre increments — the most complete allocation in the catalogue.

Eight pedestals stop being an accessory and become equipment. This set is for anyone who has to handle a volume — an exhibition room, a shop, a gallery — rather than present a single piece. The sixty-centimetre span from lowest to tallest allows every configuration, from a linear route to a central island.

The regularity of the step is decisive here. No pedestal is ever more than five centimetres from the next, which permits very fine changes of level between neighbouring pieces and sharp breaks when you skip several. Both registers coexist within the same set.

  • Eight pedestals: 40, 45, 50, 55 cm and 85, 90, 95, 100 cm
  • A regular five-centimetre step across the whole span
  • Sections shared across both ranges, from 22 to 38 cm square
  • Safe working load of 50 kg per pedestal
  • Double nesting for storage and transport
  • Light and easy to handle despite the number of units
  • Designed and made in France

Who this model is for

Collectors and private buyers

Really for substantial collections or very large volumes. For a private buyer, eight pedestals only make sense if the space allows them to be deployed rather than crowded.

Artists and sculptors

The kit for an artist showing regularly and in venues of different sizes. Eight pedestals break down into two hangs of four, or work as one long route, depending on the space.

Museums, galleries and art centres

A complete room allocation. The eight heights cover the full range a hang requires, from accessible low cases to the tall pedestals of principal works, with guaranteed consistency across the set.

Councils and public institutions

For authorities with a permanent exhibition space or an arts centre, this set is a single investment covering several years of programming. Quotations and public-sector invoicing on request.

Equipping an exhibition room

With eight pedestals the temptation is to use them all. That is almost always a mistake: a crowded room stops visitors seeing works individually. Plan on using five or six and keep the rest in reserve for rotations — which also extends their working life.

For shop fitting or window display, the four low heights fill the foreground while the tall ones structure the back. Our article on the base of a statue offers further reference points.

Frequently asked questions

Do I really need eight pedestals?

For a domestic room, no: the Tertio or the Penta will do. This set is for exhibition venues that manage rotations and need a reserve.

What is the storage footprint?

The two ranges nest separately. The whole set stores in the volume of one tall and one low pedestal, roughly half a cubic metre.

Can the set be extended later?

Yes. All our sets share the same sections and finishes, so units can be added from one year to the next with no visual break.

Will the pedestals stand up to daily use in a shop?

Yes. The steel and the finish were chosen to withstand frequent handling and the light knocks that come with a retail space.

Eight steel pedestals, one acquisition

Four tall plinths and four low metal supports, sized to fit out a whole room and to stay there. Steel does not move and does not get replaced.

The two sets nest and shift in the space of two pedestals: eight heights brought in on a single load on installation day. One purchase rather than eight staggered orders, and endlessly recyclable steel.

Ordering & Delivery

MANUFACTURING TIMES

Eight pedestals — four tall from 85 to 100 cm and four low from 40 to 55 cm — designed and made in France. The most complete provision in the catalogue, made up of two standard lots held in stock.

For a different configuration — specific heights, a particular finish, a format outside the range — we also build customised pedestals, with a manufacturing time of 4 to 6 weeks depending on the complexity of the project.

DELIVERY

At 32 kg, this is the heaviest order in the catalogue. The two sets nest separately for transport. If you are fitting out a room for a fixed date, tell us the deadline when you order.

Shipping is handled by DPD, within 3 to 5 working days of dispatch. Express delivery via Chronopost remains available on request, for a private view or an exhibition with a fixed date.
