Solitaire XS: the small cube pedestal for reduced formats

A steel cube, 19 centimetres on each side. The smallest element in the catalogue, made to be used on its own or placed on a larger pedestal to create a second level.

A small piece set directly on a metre-tall plate often looks lost: the bearing surface crushes the object instead of carrying it. The Solitaire XS resolves that imbalance by cutting the seat down to the scale of the work, and lifting it just enough to exist.

Its second use is the more interesting one. Placed on the plate of a Solitaire pedestal or of any pedestal from a set, it adds nineteen centimetres and lets you show two pieces on one support at two different heights. It is the cheapest way to densify a hang without buying another pedestal.

Collectors and private buyers

For a small sculpture, a ceramic or a collector’s object on a piece of furniture. The pedestal separates the object from its surroundings, and that alone moves it from ornament to exhibited piece.

Artists and sculptors

Useful for showing small formats beside large ones on the same pedestal. At a fair, that means showing more work without taking more floor space.

Museums, galleries and art centres

An adjustment element inside a case or on an existing pedestal, when a piece needs lifting a few centimetres to fall into the reading line of the route.

Councils and public institutions

For a reception display, a presentation of heritage objects or highlighting a donation. Discreet, low unit cost, suited to small allocations.

Composing on two levels

On a shared plate, set the XS towards the back rather than centring it: the two pieces then separate from one another instead of overlapping visually. The offset has to be decisive — a couple of centimetres will not create the separation.

A small metal pedestal, a long working life

Compact it may be, but the Solitaire XS is a full sculpture pedestal in steel: same material, same finish, same longevity as the tall pieces in the range. A support of this size serves for years without the wear a wooden or board cube would show.

The steel is endlessly recyclable with no loss of quality, and French manufacture keeps the supply chain short. A plinth you keep and redeploy always costs less, in money and in resources, than one you replace.
